Last weekend, I was fortunate enough to visit The Legendary Biryani Spot at Lurambi Shopping Centre, Kakamega. The moment I stepped in, I was welcomed by the warm aroma of spices that instantly thrilled my senses. It was around 4 PM, the perfect time for an afternoon food adventure.
I decided to indulge in what they are famous for — the Beef Biryani. Priced at just Ksh 350, this dish was nothing short of extraordinary. The flavor was bold and captivating, with juicy, slow-cooked beef perfectly tangled among layers of aromatic rice. Every forkful was like a warm hug for my taste buds — smoky, saucy, and wholly unforgettable.
As I reveled in the fantastic biryani, I also couldn't resist trying their NewGen Chicken Wings. For only Ksh 220, these wings were crispy, saucy, and oh-so-addictive! They were fried to golden perfection and tossed in a delicious blend of spices that had me reaching for more with each bite.
The real star of my visit was definitely the attentive service. My waiter, James, was fantastic! He made sure my dining experience was seamless and even recommended the Chips - Samaki (Ksh 400) to accompany my meal. Though I didn’t order them this time, I could hear other patrons singing their praises. I could tell that I would have to return to try them in the future.
The overall atmosphere was vibrant yet relaxed – a perfect setting for an enjoyable meal. Each dish showcased a unique blend of spices that the establishment is proud to call their own, and it’s easy to see why they are so highly rated. The value for money here is exceptional, with generous portion sizes that certainly don’t skimp on quality or flavor.
As I wrapped up my meal, I glanced around and could see other customers savoring their dishes just as much as I had. The Beef Biryani and Chicken Wings alone made my visit worthwhile, and I can’t wait to return to sample more from their extensive menu.
