As someone who loves indulging in quality food, my visit to Afi Steaks & Platters at the Boardroom in Kikuyu, Kenya was nothing short of exceptional. On a delightful Sunday evening, I decided to treat myself and a couple of friends to some of their noted offerings.
We started our meal with the highly recommended mbuzi choma platter. I must say, it was a feast for the senses! The goat was tender, expertly seasoned, and grilled to perfection. The portion was generous and truly reflected value for money. As I savored each bite, it became evident why the locals rave about this dish.
Another standout was the pork choma. It arrived hot and extremely enticing, served with sautéed vegetables and ugali. I couldn't help but admire the perfect balance of flavors and the succulent texture of the meat.
Not only was the food delightful, but the service we received was top-notch, thanks to our attentive waiter, Paul. He was knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent suggestions, which enhanced our culinary experience. His prompt service and warm demeanor made the evening even more enjoyable.
While everything was fantastic, I did note that the potato wedges needed a little improvement; however, the overall experience outweighed this minor detail. The ambiance of Afi Steaks & Platters is relaxed and inviting, making it a great spot for any gathering, whether with friends, family, or colleagues.
As we were wrapping up our meal, I couldn't help but notice the vibrant energy of the place, as more families and groups gathered in the cozy setting. I left with a happy heart and a full stomach, grateful for what Afi Steaks & Platters continues to offer.
