Recently, I had the pleasure of dining at Mawimbi, located at the wonderful Longonot Place Hotel Apartments at the corner of Harry Thuku Road and Kijabe Street. As I arrived at around 7 PM, I was greeted by a vibrant atmosphere that instantly captured my attention.
The ambience was both classy and lively, amplified by a live band that kept the energy up throughout the evening. I couldn't help but feel that every aspect of Mawimbi was curated for an unforgettable experience.
We started our feast with the Mawimbi's Signature Crab Fish and Golden Potato Wedges. The crab was decadently rich with bold flavors that made each bite a real delight. I could hardly contain my excitement as I savored the fresh, succulent taste – something I wish I could enjoy every day! The presentation was phenomenal, really elevating my dining experience to a whole new level – it was clearly not just about the food, but the art of presenting it.
The highlight of the appetizer for me was definitely the Mawimbi's Succulent Potato Wedges. These wedges were crispy and perfectly seasoned, providing that variety I craved.
As our main course, we were fortunate to try the delicious Supu ya Pweza. The flavors were nothing short of awesome. My taste buds danced with joy as I experienced how well the curry was made, though I did find the portion a bit small. Nonetheless, the exquisite presentation and flavor made it worth every bite!
The staff were friendly and attentive throughout our meal. A big shoutout to Mercy, who took the time to recommend dishes and made sure we felt welcomed and taken care of. It's not every day you come across such dedicated service! Lucy, another team member, also impressed us with her ability to cater to our needs swiftly while maintaining a cheerful demeanor.
The combination of delightful food and excellent service exceeded my expectations, and I can say that my evening at Mawimbi was money well spent. The atmosphere made it a great night out, and my newfound favorites – the crab and the potato wedges – made it all the more memorable.
Before we wrapped up, we enjoyed the live band that was performing. Their fantastic music left us wanting more, making the night one I will cherish for a long time. Overall, I highly recommend Mawimbi for anyone looking for a stunning meal in a perfect setting!
