Last Friday afternoon, I had the pleasure of visiting Café Amka located at Waiyaki Way, Nairobi, and what an experience it was! The moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by the calming ambiance that blends modern decor with a cozy atmosphere, perfect for relaxing or catching up on work.
I decided to go with their highly recommended Chicken Katsu sandwich, renowned for its rich flavor and generous portions. It absolutely lived up to the hype—it was not only delicious but also filling, making it great value for money! The crispiness of the chicken paired wonderfully with the fresh toppings, creating a delightful combo I would definitely order again.
While enjoying my meal, I had the pleasure of being served by Alice, our outstanding waitress who was attentive and friendly. She made excellent recommendations, which added to the enjoyable experience. From her warm welcome to her constant check-ins to ensure we were satisfied, Alice exemplified what excellent customer service should be like.
The food wasn’t the only highlight; the live band playing during my visit added a vibrant touch to the already dynamic atmosphere. It was nice to sip on a refreshing drink while enjoying the music, making the experience all the more memorable.

Another delightful product on their menu that I couldn’t resist was their Fusion Tea. South of Nairobi’s hustle and bustle, here they promote local sourcing, making each sip feel like a taste of home, and I was more than happy to support this initiative!
As my leisure time drew to a close, I couldn't help but feel grateful to have found such a gem. The overall experience, the delightful food, and the welcoming staff made my visit an unforgettable moment I wish to relive.
