Last Thursday around 3 PM, I decided to swing by Artcaffe Westminster in Nairobi for a quick coffee break and some sweet treats. I had heard great things about this cozy bakery and restaurant that offers a blend of fresh baked goods and a relaxing atmosphere, and it did not disappoint!
Upon entering, I was greeted by the delightful aroma of freshly brewed coffee, mixed with a hint of baked goods. It's a perfect spot to unwind alone or connect with friends. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with comfortable seating that encourages you to stay awhile. I took a seat at a corner table near the window, giving me a beautiful view of the bustling streets of Nairobi.
As I was perusing the menu, I couldn’t resist grabbing a few slices of their famous cakes. I ordered the Sliced Carrot Cake and Sliced Cappuccino Cake, both of which are visually stunning and reasonably priced. The Carrot Cake was moist, rich, and topped with a perfectly sweet cream cheese frosting that made each bite heavenly. Meanwhile, the Cappuccino Cake was a delightful blend of coffee and chocolate that left me wanting more.
Throughout my visit, the service was exceptional. My waiter, David, was super attentive and made great recommendations that enhanced my experience. He even suggested pairing my cakes with a cup of their signature coffee, which turned out to be a great suggestion. David's friendly demeanor made me feel welcomed, and it added to the relaxed vibe of the cafe.
The value for money is fantastic, considering the quality of the products. Each slice of cake not only tasted divine but was also generously portioned. Coming in at such good prices given the high standard of the food was truly a win-win!
In a nutshell, if you're in Nairobi and looking for a delightful spot to enjoy high-quality food and drinks, the Artcaffe Westminster is an excellent choice. Whether you want a quick takeaway or a leisurely meal, they have it all. I highly recommend stopping by for their cakes. You won't be disappointed!
